I’m absolutely delighted by the positive feedback pouring in for my latest novel, The Mixing Bowl. So many of you have shared how much you appreciate stories of perseverance, family bonds, and the courage to live an authentic life—and I couldn’t be more grateful.

There are so many exciting new developments I’m thrilled to share with you—but first, a little backstory.

About a year and a half ago, I began searching for a new place to call home. I explored towns near and far, but nothing felt quite right. Then, by chance and coincidence, I quite literally stumbled upon Hutchinson Square in downtown Summerville, South Carolina. As I stepped out of the car, I found myself right in front of Main Street Reads.

As a personal rule, I always visit independent bookstores wherever I go—and support them whenever I can. These little gems hold a special place in my heart. While browsing inside Main Street Reads, I felt tears well in my eyes. I knew, instinctively, that I had found my place.

Since then, I’ve bought a home, settled into the vibrant Lowcountry, and fallen in love with the beauty, history, and creativity that surrounds me.

So, it gives me great pleasure to announce:
I’ll be doing a book signing on July 13th at Main Street Reads in Summerville!
I’m beyond excited for this opportunity, and I’ll be sharing more details soon. I truly hope to see some of you there.

This past weekend, while in the Lowcountry, I found it nothing short of spectacular—I explored some of South Carolina’s magnificent plantations, soaking in the region’s charm and legacy. The Lowcountry has inspired my creativity in ways I never expected. I’ve not only found a home but also a renewed voice in my writing. 

Nature settles me.
It invigorates me.
It inspires me.
Isn’t that what life is all about?

For me, the perfect life isn’t about things.
It’s about places—and the people who make them meaningful.
